7-Eleven installs additional in-store screens
With the upcoming implementation of two additional Point of Sale screens placed near the credit card terminals in each 7-Eleven store, 7-Eleven has chosen to strengthen its relationship with Acrossmedia considerably.

Combined with Acrossmedia's most recent installation of in-store TV in 200 SuperBest-stores in Denmark, the 7-Eleven order reinforces Acrossmedia's status as Denmark's leading supplier of in-store TV solutions.

Since its establishment, Acrossmedia has researched the effect of PoS technology - for example in Kastrup Airport in Denmark, where a number of small screens were placed near the check-outs and credit card terminals. Results showed that impulse buying of products such as chewing gum, prepaid calling cards and soft drinks increased greatly - an increase so significant that it encouraged 7-Eleven to implement the Point of Sale screens. With its initial implementation 3 years ago, 7-Eleven was among the front-runners - at a time when the in-store market was starting to take off. Since then, the demand has exploded, and in-store TV has now become a well-recognised sales medium. With the new digital PoS solution, 7-Eleven is once again at the cutting-edge. Market development manager Jeppe Wad explains:

"We have experienced great results and a significant increase in sales by advertising selected products on our screens, and Acrossmedia has played a significant role in this.
