In-store screens increase sales in YX stores
7-Eleven was among the first chain of stores to determine a substantial increase in sales as a result of implementing an in-store TV solution.

Since then, the owner of 7-Eleven - Reitan Servicehandel - has also acquired the former HydroTexaco stores (YX). According to Jeppe Wad, Market Director in Reitan Servicehandel, the decision of selecting an in-store TV supplier for the YX stores was easily made:
 
“Originally, we chose a hardware solution provided by Sony, and Acrossmedia was merely our “content provider”. Over the years, however, we have been extremely satisfied with our co-operation with Acrossmedia, its wide range of products, excellent service and support system, and the input from creative employees. As a result, it was an obvious choice for us to enhance the co-operation with Acrossmedia in relation to both 7-Eleven and the YX stores. We have chosen to invest in Acrossmedia’s own range of 32” and 42” screens for virtually each and every one of the 146 YX stores, and have also installed two 9,2” screens in all 7-Eleven stores. The wireless network connection provided by Acrossmedia ensures an elegant and stylish solution, eliminating untidy cables. The 9,2” screens are strategically placed near the credit card terminals in the 7-Eleven stores, and we are extremely satisfied with both solutions.”
 
Store owners and retailers satisfied with technology and turnover
When faced with challenges during the implementation period, Acrossmedia did well to follow up on all matters. A transitional phase is always somewhat confusing, but I am convinced that both store owners and retailers in the YX stores are pleased with their new screen solutions. In-store communication allows us to carry out set campaigns, and also increases product awareness. In addition, Acrossmedia is in the process of adapting the system in such a way that it allows each store owner and retailer to enhance their stores’ efforts in the local community. All in all, our efforts result in increased sales, and THAT is our main focus. So far, we are pleased to determine the same positive outcome in the YX stores as we determined upon implementing screens in 7-Eleven stores – a visible increase in sales”.

7-Eleven: Two 9,2” screens in all 61 stores
YX: 42” screens in 107 stores, 32” in 31 stores and 8 stores without screens.
